Can I use ScanStream to send data to any programs besides Excel and Word?
Yes, ScanStream can be used to send data to any form field within a MS Windows application. Anywhere that you can type data, can be populated by ScanStream. (ie. Notepad, Internet Explorer, Hyperterminal, etc.)

Can I use ScanStream with any hardware other than barcode scanners?
Yes, ScanStream can interpret data from any device that connects to your serial port (RS-232 port). Anything from scales, to scanners, to I/O controllers can be used to send ScanStream data.

Is ScanStream hard to install on my PC?
Actually installing scanstream is very easy, simply execute the setup program and adjust the configuration files to your liking and scanstream can be interpreting data over the serial port in minutes.

ScanStream interprets data from either of the serial ports (RS-232) on your pc. It can use one or both of them depending on your needs.

ScanStream is most commonly used to scan data into and print labels from Floormation. ScanStream is designed for use with Floormation, but it is a separate and independent program that can be used with any Windows based application.

Yes. First, you would need to do set up a script in ScanStream that could read your barcodes. Next you would need to set up a Macro in Excel that would automatically jump to each instance of the scanned barcode.
